Fluence Webinar to Explore Principles of Psychotherapeutic Touch in Psychedelic Therapy

The free webinar is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on Friday, March 22.

Fluence will explore “the intersection of somatic practices and psychedelic-assisted therapy” in an upcoming webinar.

Fluence trainer Sabrina Santa Clara and Fluence co-founder Elizabeth Nielson will lead the one-hour webinar, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on Friday, March 22.

“The skillful use of bodily awareness and touch offers a promising avenue for deepening therapeutic outcomes, while also opening up concerns about additional risk to patients,” Fluence says of the webinar. “In this session, the conversation will cover the fundamental principles of psychotherapeutic touch and discuss Sabrina Santa Clara’s journey towards specializing in consulting and training for the healthcare community, as well as ways clinicians can start to build their own competency.”

Santa Clara, a licensed counselor in Colorado, has been helping clients integrate their psychedelic experiences since 2018, according to her bio. She received her certification in Psychedelic Integration Therapy through Fluence in 2021.

Santa Clara has extensive experience working with nonmedicinal expanded states of consciousness via embodied practices such as Authentic Movement, Butoh, breathwork, somatic meditation, Internal Family Systems, sound healing, chanting and other expressive and creative arts therapies, according to her bio.

“Participants will be invited to engage directly with Sabrina through a Q&A session, offering a deeper insight into the application of these methods and the chance to learn about upcoming training opportunities in psychotherapeutic touch with Fluence,” Fluence says on its website.

The webinar will be recorded live on Zoom and made available to those who register and aren’t able to attend live, Fluence notes.
