A legislative advisory group says Vermont is not quite ready to legalize psychedelics, according to a Valley News report.
The group, which met over the summer, contends more research needs to be completed before health care providers can administer psychedelic-assisted therapy.
The current studies on psychedelics involve small sample sizes, and the group would like to ensure enough evidence showing the efficacy of psychedelics is available before providing access to the substances, said Kelley Klein, medical director for the Department of Mental Health and a member of the working group.
