Avesta Ketamine and Wellness Opens Clinic in Columbia, Maryland

The facility on Banneker Road is Avesta’s fourth clinic in the region.

Avesta Ketamine and Wellness said it has opened a new ketamine clinic in Columbia, Maryland.

The facility on Banneker Road is Avesta’s fourth clinic in the region. Avesta also operates clinics in Washington, D.C.; Bethesda, Maryland; and McLean, Virginia.

The new clinic will offer a range of ketamine-therapy protocols, including IV ketamine therapy, Spravato therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and IV vitamins, according to Avesta.

“Ketamine offers profound relief for people struggling with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, substance-use disorder and chronic pain,” said Dr. Ladan Eshkevari, founder and co-CEO of Avesta. “Too many people spend years cycling through medications and traditional therapies without improvement. With our new clinic in Columbia, we can provide more people with rapid relief in a calm, convenient and clinically supervised setting.”

Over the past eight years, Avesta has administered more than 10,000 ketamine infusions for depression, anxiety, PTSD, migraines, fibromyalgia and chronic pain, according to the clinic.

The Avesta team includes a board-certified anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners, integration specialists, medical assistants, insurance specialists and patient-care coordinators, Avesta noted.

In a news release, co-CEO Deborah Tan said Avesta’s staff members “are committed to making ketamine therapy more accessible to Columbia area residents while simplifying the insurance process.”
